Greenhouse basement ?

Well i dont find anymore where to post suggestion but... maybe here...

Whats about creating a greenhouse basement ? could make a really great use of basement for farming plants and regant without taking 80% of the outside lot space.

Suggestion like this i've just tought. A kind of basement with special "light" that make same bonus growth of greenhouse

While I am all for suggesting new ideas... I think kind of the tradeoff of having a greenhouse where things grow faster is the fact that it takes up a lot of your lot space. It's sort of a built in balance thing for the benefit of faster growing plants.

I would suggest instead to just put the greenhouse on your lot and decorate the basement as you would up top if the greenhouse were not there.

 

As I recall Basements should already have a "Penalty" for growing in them. It's dark down there and things grow 4x slower is it?

As well the point is to make you use the land and want to buy MORE

I was just talking to one of my guildmates who is using her basement to grow. The cycle for cotton/mandrake is about a week, but she never misses a watering because the cycle is so long. So she is using it as a bonus farm.

I only use basements as "bonus"... and being able to have up to 5 floors makes them a HUUUUGE space for growing crops, so the nerf makes sense.

 

Having longer water cycle actually helps me maximize crop yields during busy week.

 

Yeah with this view i think you guys are right, i've not see that in that way Well have to forget this suggestion so

 

Instead of a basement greenhouse wish for some plants that prefers a cold basement more than growing up in the sun
