    Hello everyone :) Just checking in since I am kinda new to the game. I have put in 28 hours thus far. My real name is Johnny, my Avatar is Ragnarr. I played UO back in the day around 1999 I'm pre Trammel. WOW what some great times! I stopped gaming altogether around 2008. I did also play EQ2 and Vanguard and spent some time on release of Star Wars. I took a long vacation from gaming up until just a month ago. I logged into my OLD accounts and growled at the changes and finally I decided it was time to just give up on UO....THEN what did my eyes see!!!! Shroud of the Avatar! I did research and reviews and said wow what a great game with a great community. So here I am and my wife :) (SotA is her first MMO) I am 48 and this game really ROCKS!

    If I may ask a question. Where are the hot spots for the new Avatars to hang out and build skills and hunt? Where players visit the most at our skill levels.

    The one skull areas in the Hidden Vale are good - just watch out for the spiders because they gang up on you in groups of 5-7. You can get there from Central Britanny if you're in that part of the Novia mainland through one of the red sailed boats. If you're on the Ardoris/Soltown side of Novia then you can use Cooper's pass to cross to the side where Central Britanny is since the Control Points are teeming with much higher level mobs.

    All of the starting areas have one skull areas nearby. Adventure scenes have a stake with skulls impaled on it visible from the overland.. The more skulls on the stake, the harder the area.

    Well we have become adventurous and ran to many locations on the map. We are binded to Soltown at the moment. We have hunted at the cemetery and found it to be a small grind and would like to hunt more locations.

    Thank all of you for the greetings and support. We have been given some great hospitality by Nick. He has set us up with a roof over our heads and food in our stomachs :) Even made a dress for my lovie. We had some laughs and some Ale. And learned some information. We now operate inside Brittany. Very nice town. THANK all of you for your help we sincerely appreciate it :)

    As you see from the opening giant message, SotA is in development still. As two new players you have a unique lens into what's good/what needs work. If you have time please leave your thoughts in a new thread so it's seen by the Devs.
