The new Paper doll is really nice. As well as most of the other UI changes. The thing I'm not a fan of is the greyed out skills. Kinda makes them hard to see what skill is what to be honest. What are your thoughts that have checked out QA?

The grey borders are perfect, as is the removal of borders where not needed.

The de-saturated skills bars however are difficult to see, especially the buffs/de-buffs below the player nameplate in the upper left. The lack of saturation makes identifying the icon difficult, and the radial timer indication is even more difficult.

I am using a 32" monitor to play on with in-game brightness and saturation turned all the way up. The monitor itself is calibrated for color correctness (not however via color instrument, just by eye).

As a change that can be implemented immediately this is fantastic (minus the de-saturation of the skill icons), but there was also good screenshot in the general forums of what a clear and functional UI could be (not sure what the source was) in the hopefully not too distant future:

Totally agree. I'm a huge fan of this new direction.

I would like to see the inner-icon returned to the original saturation and brightness. That way, the shield, circle, hexagon, etc. and their details would all stand out above the underlying glyph background.

I'm not a fan of the desaturated icons either. The rest is fine but the gold color was fine too.

Actually the shot I posted was an GUI asset for unity, drop in replacement and very customizible :)

    +1.

When it comes to the static parts of the UI, I much prefere the new look.

But the grey skills and the faded out green color for an available combo is a major set back for using combos and stacking skills. Given that this is my preferred play style, I'm hoping to see this reverted or an option to ignore this. I know I'm one of many who don't really care for looks at the cost of the game play experience.

it's very useful when it's dark, it's not so nice in bright conditions. maybe make it dark in dungeons and at night?

Thanks everyone for the feedback about this! We have noticed this issue as well, and are working on improving these icons today. Look for a change to this in an upcoming build tomorrow or Monday.

I really like the new UI as well. I much prefer the darker tones over the gold.
