Guide to Farming the Oracle

Basics

SotA has Virtues, like the Ultima series. Currently we have only three - Love, Courage, Truth. The Oracle is a giant talking head in a fancy temple, and she will give you 500 gold each day for visiting her - here's the catch - only if you answer her questions correctly. There's no way of knowing the answer, we can't retrieve any information about our current status with the Virtues.

The 500 gold a day will help you gear up/buy skills/pay taxes/collect your gold in a pool and swim in it like Scrooge McDuck :3

Confession Times
You can see the Oracle any time after Midnight EDT/EST every day (once per day) to confess all and receive your 500 gold.


The Magic Words

When you talk to her you'll see there are some clickable words - but you have to know the magic words to get her to cough up your info, because if you fail her test she won't give you money.





Ask her this before you state whether you think you're on the path of a virtue or not:

advice
then -
path of love
then -
path of courage
then -
path of truth

Take note of her responses to each, so when she asks if you're on the path of that virtue, you know the answer. If you mess your answer up she won't give you your 500 gold, which is why I made this guide for all you new players.

I use Counsel instead of Advice for the three virtues.

There is one in Aerie just past the adventure trainer and up the stairs and one in Dragomir in the town square near the docks.

Holy crap! You've never been to Central Brittany? The main Oracle Temple is there, it's a monster of a building! All these little mini-Oracle buildings only rate confirmatory status, but the main temple has a couple just outside where avatars can receive their daily stipend. Thanks for starting this guide btw, but now I'm wondering if maybe the Oracle is different depending on where you go. I generally visit the Oracle in Advenire or Central Brittany and my interactions are something other than what you recommend; I still get the 500g daily handout. Do you know if how we interact with the big giant microwave head affects our virtue standing in game?

 

Etceter has an oracle, too!

 

I have a house there, but never roam around too much, that town is huge :3 Was told there *might* be one there maybe perhaps, but wasn't sure so didn't add it to guide till it was properly confirmed.

Wherever you sense a red, glowing source of evil, the Oracle will be there.

 

Like my Virtue Cloak for example.
