It's 9:00 PM on a Saturday night. The usual crowd at Fire Lotus Tavern suddenly hears a lot of shouting, followed by screams and grunts, outside and rush out to investigate. They are astonished to see a dozen unconscious bandits strewn about and a ten year boy standing there in the middle of the street, staff in hand, humming a tune...

Hi all. I hope you have enjoyed release 6. Well this thread is back on the run, but just to comment from release 6, hairstyles will not help our poor avatars, even though they are needed badly,
I cant' wait to see improvements in the character models. I know it's happening and I am excited to see that day.
So to the developers cut off those heads soon please. ***majoria hands them the oh so sharp axe*** lol

Yep majoria70, I've been trying to narrow down the Avatar's structures from the bottom up so that maybe we can have them improved one piece at a time to help even out the Portalarium Avatar workload.

 

As much as I like the punk hairdos (and have a 'hawk IRL), I'd like to see more medieval hair than cool fantasy hair. And let's not forget the possiblility of hats/headcoverings. Nice to have an alternate look for RP, non-combat times, etc.

I'm kind of torn on the hairstyle issue. On the one hand I much prefer to see what I consider to be 'suitable' hairstyles for the game I'm playing, which in most cases is a fantasy medieval-style setting so I'd want to see 'medieval' hairdos. On the other hand, in this particular game our Avatars are supposed to have come from Earth. So although I'd expect the indigenous people of New Britannia to have relevant hairstyles, I guess I have to accept that PCs could have all kinds of modern styles.

One thing I'd really prefer not to see is what I imagine NeeNee means by "cool fantasy hair" - wild and colourful styles that you'd be unlikely to see in the real world on anyone who's not a model. And I hope that many Avatars, seeing how so many New Britannians immediately treat them as outsiders, would decide to try and blend in a bit more easily by sporting a hairstyle and colour that is more in keeping with the styles of the local people.

I really hope there's going to be some kind of salon service in the game where we can change our style and colour if we want to, though! (I think I heard something about this possibility a while ago.)
