Has anyone's Steam account been hacked, because mine just was

I hope that I'm wrong but I don't think I am. I just sat down to load the game but Steam didn't recognise my password, so finally I entered my email so that I could make a new one, and they don't recognise my email.

Sigh

 

Sorry that happened to you Epona. I don't play on Steam. I'm not a big fan of it. Did you try relogging into Steam?

 

message port and change your password here for your in game log in. also change your email password

 

You don't log into SOTA when you use your Steam account, so I assume that the issue is with launching Steam itself. If that is the case you should contact Valve right away.

If you are choosing to login with your SOTA Credentials then you would want to contact support@portalarium.com, but I don't this is the case since posting here would use the same password. However, if this is the case you could try changing it to use Steam login and might be able to play.

Majoria, I am going to reboot Steam now. Scary moment. I tend to believe that it's some weird error, to tell the truth.

I had an issue with steam earlier. It needed an update (but wouldnt update) so it kind of locked me out.

 

Okay, I did everything (lol) that everyone advised me and something worked. I don't know why Steam didn't recognise my password and said they had no record of my email--but it scared me.

Oh! It did update (again) after I rebooted. Hmm...

 

Strange--before I logged out (and couldn't log back in) I didn't have enough money to buy a sword. When Steam let me back in (after following everyone's suggestions) I had 30k gold. Where did it come from???

 

The Devs gave it to us since they made skill training very expensive and people could not train back to where they were. They wiped skills as mentioned in the Darkstarr post that tells all about the release. Also you can only train so far at Soltown and have to go elsewhere for higher level trainers so beware. Owlshead is higher level.
