Have I lost my Pet forever?

    I was in the Whiteguard Silver mine and my pet took off to attack the guy attacking me from above or below me (I'm not sure) while I was fighting all the guys on my level... Needless to say he died and I couldn't find him to rez him... I searched everywhere and my rez spell just said "no target it could find", then my pet was gone from my screen (I assume his body decayed)...

    So, I guess my beloved pet is gone...

    Does this happen often? How did you get them back? or did you train another? I've had him for so long... :(.... :(

    I heard you can cast pet rezz anywhere and it rezzes them. If ten minutes or so goes by with it dead, its gone.

    Resurrect Creature works on the whistle, not the corpse.

    I am so sorry, @SmokerKGB, I lost my beloved pet over a year ago (before the nerf happened which made it impossible for me to have a pet). I couldn't fight my way to her corpse before it decayed. At the time, I didn't know that if I had simply left the scene right away, my pet would have been restored to me. I wonder if that still works. Judging from the replies above, you could have resurrected your pet without having to be near it, but apparently you didn't get that to work. :(

    NO they fixed that when they made it so you can rezz it anywhere.

    nitpicking but it was a change not a fix, was very much intended for pets to stay perma dead as they called it back then.

    Thanks to everyone for the info, I just logged in and tried to rez him and it says: you cast resurrect creature but hit nothing... I'm in Soltown, so I think he's gone, although it sounds like it should have worked in the mine as I had the proper whistle equipped, it maybe a bug in the new scene, so I'll report it as such...

    He was a Grizzly bear... My taming is low, I've been trying to tame a Polar bear and Elder wolf (I think they have more HP)... I have a Brown bear on another whistle, but he's really weak... If you want to mail me what you got, I would appreciate anything you could spare: Shamus O'Toole is my chr name...

    LOL Fluffy was reluctant to get into the mail slot but I finally pushed him in and told him you would take good care of him/her. Enjoy.

    like the chest mimics? no, as long as you have the whistle rez pet will work.

    You have to stay in the scene, but can go to a safe spot and then click the whistle to get the target on your whistle to bring up pets health bar.

    You can then res from anywhere in the scene, if the pet is somewhat close they will try and run to you, it to far they will teleport.

    Your target is the issue - since they have screwed targeting up so bad, make sure the pets health bar is the focus.

    Or tare the whistle.

    If you where in the scene and had pets health bar as primary target and still could not re bug report it, They have broken / fixed / broken / fixed this more than once.

    Also I thik it was 5 minutes for body to decay I am not positive on the time but as long as body has not decayed you can res it - SAME SCENE
