Hi! I've been looking around to see how I can raise my STR/DEX/INT faster/at all, how does that work?
strength you find at tier 2 in tactics dexterity you find at tier 2 in subterfuge intelligence you find at tier 2 in focus
There are skills in the Focus (Train Intelligence), Tactics (Train Strength) and Subterfuge (Train Dexterity) trees to increase base stats. Also, some Enchant and Masterwork for gear raises stats.
Do I need to use skills within those specific trees to raise stats, or do they go up when I use any skill that is associated with each stat?
Just be aware that they are incredibly thirsty when it comes to consuming XP. These are essential skills, and influence many abilities. So a stock standard skill (aimed shot in ranged for instance) would take about 1 million XP to get it to GM level. STR, DEX and INT take about 12 million each! So if your XP pool suddenly runs dry that's the reason. You can get them up there, it just takes a lot of time and work.
In this forums section are a few posts bout training skills - building decks and all sorts. IN a few this is covered from one direction or another. To many different posts have this covered one way or another but look mostly at the skill training posts, then decks. https://www.shroudoftheavatar.com/forum/index.php?forums/player-created-resources.486/
Thanks for the replies so far! So is it a 1:1 ratio, one point up in the skill = 1 str/dex/int? Any hard caps, or just a soft one?
.5, 40 more dex at level 80 there is technically a hard cap at... 200, maybe? but the soft cap hits hard enough at high levels, and especially for this skill that's already ten times as expensive, that you'll never reach it
