How i can repair an Artefact ?

I have a Belt of the Patient Harvester und the durability is by 9/44
Is here anyone who can repair this belt ?

Ancient Essences: You can find them salvaging artifacts.

Since I have seen no repro I don't know the limitations in this case.

 

Ancient Essence is for normal repairs. If you want to gain the items maximum durability back you need to use Gold Coto's. Also, Ancient Essence(in my experience) only gives back 20 durability at a time. So, if you have an item with 0/60, it will take you three Ancient Essences to repair it.

 

FWIW - I tried to masterwork an artifact over the weekend. It broke but gave me this Ancient Essence. You would put the Essence OR 1 Gold COTA (gold crowns) in the active window along with the artifact you want to repair. The "repair" will highlight blue meaning it's ready. Of course use applicable station (for the belt I think you need tailoring station).

 

I don't mean to resurrect an older thread, but I am a bit confused. Can you use a gold CotO to repair an arty? I thought that was NOT possible. Why even have the Ancient Essences, if you can?

Also, is there a bug with repairing artifacts? I would not want to risk anything until I know I am not going to muck it up with a software bug of some sort.

Gold COTO's are used to bring up an artifact's Maximum Durability, whereas an Ancient Essence only does a normal repair. Also, using a Gold COTO on an artifact is considered a Major repair, and using an Ancient Essence is a Minor repair. Subsequent Major repairs will require more than 1 COTO to get the artifact up to Max Dur.
