How to use a Fleet Flute

I know this may be a trivial question already addressed but I cannot find the answer.

I recently purchased a fleet flute and I cannot figure out how to use it. Does anyone have any instruction on how to use this device? Are their any prerequisites?

You just equip it on your paper doll. Then have a sheet of music on your hot bar the non combat one (any song you want). Play the song for a second then hit jump and off to the races you go.

That being said it is broken at the moment and a known bug they are working to fix. It broke on this last patch.

 

Equip the flute in the character slot.
Find some sheet music (anything), and for convenience place it in a slot on your non-combat bar.
Click on the music glyph, you will play the flute. An icon appears below your name bar. After a few seconds, touch the space bar to quit playing. You will then have a good speed buff for 30 seconds.
NOTE: This was broken for the R53 release, and probably still does not work. The devs are on it, watch for fix in an incoming patch.

Currently a lot of instruments are bugged. They are working on a fix, but for a near future, it looks like the fleet flute may be borked.

To play it though, you can equip some sheet music on your utility bar and press the associated number with it. or you can type /play to equip it and use your number keys for different notes.

 

And if you don't have a song. Hit me up in game and I will give you some for your very own I am Majoria in game and welcome @phillipseric .

 

Which instruments are borked? I just finished doing some syncing in a group and did not notice anything

 

The fleet flute does not give a speed buff. I think it also applies to other instruments that confer a buff

 

All should be fixed now hopefully.
