I still want crafting tools hidden from my bag.

@Attenwood @Chris So this has been an issue for quite a while now and I was hoping they'd fix it by now. I thought I would bring up this issue again. Basically, when crafting tools are equipped they stay in my bag and you can't put them in another bag or do anything with them while they are equipped they are just grayed out and take up a bunch of space in your inventory. This is not intuitive and I shouldn't have to see all the tools in there and scroll through them to see what is actually in my bag that I can use. Please give us an option to completely hide equiped tools from our inventory!!

Sometimes I'm nerved by seeing also the equipped tools in the backpack - but then, I also find it useful ... I can check at one glance which tools will have to be replaced soon, when I'm at a vendor. I don't want to imagine how it would be like, if I had to check every skill for getting this information.

 

We need more tabs!
Quest items.
Deeds.
Tools.
Etc.

Subcategories
Mining
Forestry
Etc.

Extra points for customizable tabs.

 

I have a feeling it's due to a proper UI for the system not being added yet to accommodate the change to equipping tools. I have to imagine that's something they'd like to fix in the future, though it is probably not a top priority.

 

I'd like to have another bag that had the crafter's tools in it. A bag that I would almost never open or think about, and would exist only on my character paper doll for the sole purpose of putting crafting tools in.

 

Many games with a lot of crafting tools/equipment will have a second paperdoll tab with slots for crafting gear to be equipped. This would probably make sense for SOTA.

I agree, would be nice to have the option to "unsee" them

 

:/ Though it would be nice to attach tools to workstations so we didn't have to carry them around to keep them equipped for our station at home.
