If We Were To Try To Get 1 Stretch Goal Met, Which Would You Choose?

I understand it is difficult to get too enthused about paying real money for the stretch goals but it will tell the Dev team what is important to us. We will have 5 episodes or who knows maybe more than that to get these funded so it is not all in vain.
Right now the Devs will be working on the previous stretch goals that were already met as they say don't let the numbers scare you away from getting these things in game. I feel without them we would be less of a game. This should not be a game that has to settle for being
less than wonderful. Remember stretch goals are not going anywhere they still have time to be reached even through release date there will still be features added to the game. So while perhaps my boating would not be there at game start it may
be there in one of the other releases. So do not hesitate for reasons of we won't make them anyway, yes we will since they are important to the game. We have to rally for important things. So I again say please support the stretch goals if you can.

great link, i stand by my vote though. the game won't feel right if we're simply just stuck on land.. one day i'd like to have underwater areas, much like guildwars2.

 

I used to think the same until ArcheAge pulled it off to great effect. It's definitely possible. The freeshard UOF also had a fantastic galleon system implemented, which was hella fun, although that's obviously a different beast altogether.

I'd love to see ships. Even though I don't have a crew anymore, I'd consider putting one back together if it meant privateering again. Plus, fishing, MiBs, treasure hunting...

 

I think the stretch goals might have done better if they had been introduced two at a time and no more added until one was acheived. We've got a "split vote" scenario which is leading to none of them being funded.

 

I want ALL OF THEM. Except for maybe Elves 'cause I'd never play as Legolas. Dwarves on the other hand? Would totally play as a Gimli.

But I voted horses. I want a horse.

 

Boats and flexible placement are cool, and I'd love them in the game. I think horses and pack animals should be more of a priority, though, because they have an impact on gameplay and balance. It wouldn't feel right tacking them on later. Between the two, it just makes sense to have horses first, at least IMO.

 

I voted for flexible placement. In many a MMO I have wanted to be able to move static main buildings on my property to better utilize the space and to add a little more diversity to an endless stretch of alike properties.
Pack animals would be a close second for me. One as a player who tends to spend more time in game gathering and crafting the use of a pack animal would enhance that experience. And two as a UO player back in my teens, the nostalgia of going to chop wood with a llama or horse in tow, would be awesome.

 

i did say boatsboatsboats..but flexible placement would be my second choice, both would add a FANTASTIC element to the sandbox.

 

Honestly, I'm up for any of them so long as I can mount guns on their broadsides and board other people's pack llamas/war houses/dining room sets and loot all their booty. I'm not picky.

 

Why does nobody give a damn about boats? They were in almost every Ultima!!

 

LOL Tekk lots of boats listed above, if that's what you mean. We want our boats and fishing.

 

Honestly, I'd really like to see all of the Stretch Goals met. If I had to choose one to drop, it would be Elves, and that's only because of the way SotA approaches elves & their origins (which helps me understand why they wouldn't be available as PCs).

However, with that being said, if an Elf, Kobold, or other creature could be a Companion for solo offline play, I'd be totally cool with that.

 

I voted for boats - deep sea fishing, piracy, fast travel and exploration - whats not to like?

Boats would be awesome refreshing
Like most of the goals but if i have to pick the favourite it would be boats !

Personal i would change the stretch goals .
Now these goals are a gamble.
Functionality unlocks when reached goal
Very sure this will scare more people away than it attracts .

To many choices paradoxical makes it harder to make a choice

One big bar would with all in the mix would be great .
All for one , one for all

 

Want most = Flexible Placing or Boats
Want Least = Elves , hope they never get implemented

 

It is a difficult decision between flexible placement and horses and pack animals. Seeing as how we have coconut shells already... that almost eliminates the need for horses though

I promise if I win the lottery, I'll unlock all the stretch goals
