[Info Needed]Can't start game via Steam

    I try to start the game but it then it crashs at some point. SotA version it shows is WIN.64.617 Date 06.29.17
    Here's what info it provided me about the details of the crash.

    Have you attempted a clean uninstall and reinstallation of the game client?

    I was having similar problems last night with Steam client, but it cleared up. Problem seemed to be using my external monitors, instead of my laptop screen. At least in my situation.

    1. I patched Steam client fully.
    2. I had not logged into R43 until last night. OK, I've been busy! (fishing of course)
    3. Attempted log in via Steam credentials to my main account connected to Steam - crashed repeatedly at 2% loading. Got some crash log files.
    4. Removed a game controller (steering wheel). Retried. Steam login crashed again. That did not help.
    5. Logged into the Steam Client manually into an alternate account (not connected to Steam) with user/pwd. OK! Worked! Logged out.
    6. Logged into the Steam Client manually with my main account (connected to Steam) with user/pwd. Crashed again at 2%.
    7. Rebooted laptop. Retried. Still crashed on my main account via Steam Credentials or user/pwd using the Steam client. ARG.
    8. I thought about reinstalling the Steam Client, but tried something different.

    1. I patched the regular client (not the Steam client).
    2. I successfully logged in user/pwd with my main account via the regular client. WORKED! So my account is not bugged. Nice.

    1. OK, to test the Steam Client with Steam Credentials again. Laptop screen. WORKED!
    2. Test again... Steam Client with user/pwd on my main account. Logged in with my client stretched windowed mode across three monitors. CRASHED.
    3. Restarted Steam Client with Steam Credentials. Laptop screen. WORKED!
    4. Restarted Steam Client with user/pwd. Laptop screen. WORKED!
    5. Restarted Steam Client with Steam Credentials. External single screen. WORKED!
    6. Restarted Steam Client with Steam Credentials. Windowed across three external screens. WORKED!
    I have some crash logs from Part 1, step 3, when using the Steam Client.
    1. Would these crash logs be useful to you in QA?
    2. Where are those located on my hard drive Steam Client?
    3. How do I send the logs? Email? To what address?
    I hope this helps a little.

    I hope @Brightstar got his client working again!

    I also had some issues with the Steam client. There appear to be some bugs in the latest updater version. Unfortunately, we cannot control it directly but I found doing a full system reboot would work around the issue. I've seen this one come around before and it usually goes away quickly. If you get the beta updates like me, you may want to opt out of that. On the other hand, we will probably be the first to see the fix once it goes though.
