Steps to Reproduce:In PVP, use Charge against a target.

I was on flat ground, no obstacles between myself and the target. He saw me running in place as well (talking on Discord).

 

I think this happens if you didn't activate the target (not the passive targeting with mouse over but the active one with double click or the key for next target) and without target you run in place

 

Yeah, I had targeted him manually. I don't think that was the issue in this case.

Good info, thank you. Do you recall how close you were to the player when it was used? Curious if range was a factor.
I know distance is difficult to convey in a forum post. Was he or she in range of other spells?

 

Not very far apart. I had noticed an issue in a duel before this and this was testing it to try to repeat the problem (and it repeated first attempt). I would say about the distance of one devotional shrine.

Okay, thank you. I'm not able to repro this just yet. You say this happens roughly half the time? Is there anything you find in common when that happens? I see it has a range of 10; not exactly far, but somewhat close to the distance of a shrine, give or take. Were either you or your opponent lagged?

 

Happened to me yesterday a couple times in The Fall. We were killing liches. I think it happened when I hit the charge as the liche dies.

 

I will try again tonight to see if I can get more specifics and get it to reproduce again.

No lag for either of us that night

 

Actually mine wasn't Charge. It was Engage Opponent. I don't even have Charge yet. Bug might be any one of the skills that you run towards the mob?

 

So yeah, it looks like it was just out of range. I can't get it to leave me running in place today but I do see a temporary run in place graphic and then the messages in the pic below:


Seems like a misleading message, when I am out of range? Shouldn't it just say out of range or something? Maybe grey the icon out when not in range?
