[Info needed] Crash to Desktop

    Since this release (48) the client crashes to desktop. There wasn't crashes in prior releases.
    It happened in different scenes. It seems it happens then, when something should become into view. (Spawn, new Object during turn / running around)

    Switching the client to aggressive deco loading seems to prevent this. But today it happened again.
    The crashes can count upto 8 times / hour.

    I have no idea how to reproduce it, it isn't bound on a location, scene or a behaviour.

    As stated above client crashes not only on this scene / location, but on this location it crashes 3 times today (always facing / running north). And it can be reproduced.
    Also in ~/.config/unity3d/unknown/unknown/ there is a file named Lock. As in /.config/unity3d/Portalarium/Shroud of the Avatar/ . The folders unknown/unknown are created by the sota client as it seems at crash time. I deleted the unknown folders before game start. Creation time of this folders matches crash time.

    Same problem
    Switching the client to aggressive deco loading seems a little help. Crashes now more raley. But it's ver often in all settlements. Try it in 2 start locations. More often crashes in Monastery at Highvale Outskirts

    Yikes, that is quite a few crashes. Definitely far above the norm at the moment. Have you tried a clean re-install of the game in case a file became corrupt during the patching process? There were light changes that took place.
    And with the location information provided above, do you always crash 100% of the time when you run and face north?

    I won't out rule any possibilities including the possibility that this could be an AMD related bug.
    Is anyone else out there seeing this that they can also provide crash logs on? I can submit for review but I'd like to get more examples if possible, in case it helps the dev.

    For re-install i deleted the folders "Shroud of the Avatar_Data" and "Shroud of the Avatar - Launcher_Data". Then StandaloneLinuxUniversalPatcher_0_125.zip (from ~/.SotA.GameTMP/Downloads) was extracted and launched. It downloaded StandaloneLinuxUniversal_0_705.sotapatch and installs the game.

    The crash in Bloodriver Outskirt (Post #2) can't be reproduced.
    The crash in the Siege Scene (Post #4) can be reproduced, at dawn going to night.

    Graphic settings are: Fastest and everything, except Antialiasing, is activated.

    What additional infos are needed?
    In a siege the crashes can be predicted. Also in Bloodriver Outskirt the client crashes often. Everytime at the same light level change.
    Crash when "Dämmerung" (dawn) going to "Abend" (evening). The client crashes at dawn, when the client comes back it is evening.

    Also, when the client is restarted after a crash it seems, that the avatar is already in game, when the loading screen shows 98%. I hear combat sounds while the loading screen is still shown. Sometimes i am in luck and can heal the avatar once the loading screen is gone, othertimes i need an Ankh, even the avatar was healthy on crash and not in combat.
    The loading times increases from crash to crash. I guess it is because of clearing out the memory.
