I'm attempting to repro under build 650 and I cannot at the moment. I even tried with an almost broken smelting tool.
Your pics has messages regarding containers. Did you have your mats in containers at the time?
When you were crafting, did you manually move the items to the table or did you use the double clicking recipe method?

Please please let us know if you can repro this in build 650. And please tag me

I do hope we have this fixed in build 650, however.

They were just in my backpack, everything in the root (seeing as we have a list I don't tend to bother about sorting into containers).

Funnily enough, It was while smelting twice or thrice, however I had a very similar error reported elsewhere to do with handing over a quest item to an NPC on the truth storyline that also gave a similar style of container error.

I'll patch up and give it a go, as i have a spare hour and try to repro.

 

Bad news Lexie, I was able to reproduce on my first craft.

I used the problem steps recording tool that comes with windows (perks of running software validations and QA testing IRL) and stuck it on google drive for you. I'll PM you the link.

I've solved it.

My smelting tongs have 1 durability left. The bug is that it is unable to reduce it to 0 durability.

Fresh pair of tongs and i'm back in business again.

I've retested with 654

The bug still occurs if I use my smelting tongs with 1/91 durability, but no longer a blocker as I can close the crafting screen.

I'm holding onto the tongs in case someone wants to check the object out to see why it won't decrease to 0 durability.

Ah. The tool breaking bug is one I found through some other tests I was running. So we did get that bug in. Fix was just checked in for that one today (not on QA yet) so good news is we were already aware.
