Details: I have 8 stacks of 2 (6 now, I took one stack and can't put it back), a stack of 26, and a stack of 28 Unkown Items in my Carpentry Stash. I'm certain they aren't from Blood River because I haven't spent much time there (a couple hours helping a new friend,) I don't throw things like that in that backpack usually, it's for carpentry after all, and those are pretty big stacks.

Steps to Reproduce: Come check my bag. It's in the small Carved Oak Figures under the Chest with the Alchemy sign, next to the fireplace, in Novia Market. There's a bag called Carpentry.

I'm hoping with your info and other folks' info we can piece this one together. Right now I don't have much to report other than unknown items :/
Good to know about the carpentry bag...maybe we can find a pattern here.

Same here. A stack of 2 unknown items in my carpentry chest and found one in my inventory. I have no idea what they were before.

 

Four 'unknown items' in my crafting materials chest, sadly there's so much stuff in there I have no chance of working out what they were - although they were not food or cooking supplies since all those are in a separate chest (unless I had a 'senior moment' yesterday and mixed them up... )..

 

FYI I went through all my friends crafting stuff and didn't find any other unknowns. We all do different crafting so basically it's only been spotted in carpentry so far.

 

In Etceter I have a trunk of wood and wood products/tools. Two items in the trunk are labeled "Unknown Item(2)".

It would be very unusual for me to place quest items in that trunk. I store items used for crafting wood products and tools for wood crafting

Nothing quest related should have been in there.

 

I wonder if build 634 had the answer, in the patch notes ;

• Missing wood strip component have returned.

First time in online mode - reported this for offline mode R. before...
may be we could have the possibility to delete unknown items?

 

It was wood strips. I had a bunch of different types, from the time of Recipe Discovery.

@Sir_Michael you should report it as a new bug, with any clues you have to help them figure out what it originally was.

Yes it is still needed, it would let them know there is still something floating around, because this bug (carpentry straps) is fixed. They might miss it otherwise.
