[Info Needed]Unable to load scenes on beautiful video setting - hangs 98 or 99%

    I play exclusively in Beautiful video setting, and had been remarking to people how few issues I have had with crashing lately...

    These are the only cases where I have hung, I have been able to enter quite a lot of scenes, including Central Brit and Blood Bay on beautiful settings.

    1/28/2017 - Beautiful settings - hung loading at 99% while attempt to enter Verdantis shardfall 2x (Friends mode)

    Entering from the overland: loading screen stuck at 99% with spinning Windows wheel, had to terminate game after waiting quite a long time.

    Upon attempt to log in again, the game said I was in Verdantis, click resume, loading screen stuck at 99% with spinning Windows wheel, had to terminate game after waiting quite a long time.

    I changed video options to fastest and was able to resume in Verdantis Shardfall.


    1/30/2017 build 547 - Beautiful settings - hung loading at 98% while attempt to enter Owls Head (Friends mode)

    I changed video options to fastest, upon attempt to log in again, the game said I was in Owls Head and I was able to resume.

    I can attest to the Owl's Head occurrence. When I checked my Output_Log.TXT file, I found that I'd made it into Owl's Head and the program hung at "Hiding the Loading Screen" or similar statement. I've been sending those Output_Log.TXT files to the rromero e-mail address whenever it happens.

    How regular of an occurrence is this? 100% repeatable on your machines? We are automatically collecting crash logs, but reports of hanging loading into scenes have been remarkably rare.

    It does not happen every time I go into Owl's Head. It started with R37. I've had one occurrence with R38. I sent the e-mail Saturday night.

    Speaking of crashes, I had a real game crash yesterday morning. This is the first real crash in months. Do you want the crash info sent to the rromero e-mail address?

    That information is collected automatically now. You'll notice that the Crash dump folders don't take snapshots of the log files anymore. : /

    3 Crashes in as many days is fairly regular, after weeks/months without a crash. On the other hand, as mentioned in OP, I always play in beautiful, so most of the time entering scenes works. The OP lists the times it did hang, listed below are times it did not hang, with "fastest" video options highlighted in green. As you can see, Owls Head appears on the list below as successfully loaded more than once (in Beautiful mode).

    I was watching the loading screen. The SotA Build line was the last thing to change on the screen-- it popped up near, or at, the 98% mark. I tried to grab a screen shot, but not even the Print Screen key captured anything.

    This is not a crash. I can send the output log to the rromero address, if need be.

    EDIT: There is no consistency or repeatable capability for me. It has happened to me as I logged into the Hidden Vale next to Kingsport, then headed to Owl's Head. It has happened to me when I've been in game for two or three hours. It does not happen every time I try to enter Owl's Head, either.
