[Info needed] unknown items in inventory

Details: I have three Unknown Items in my inventory, all marked as no-trade, I don't know where they came from or what they used to be.

Gonna sticky your thread so we can get to the bottom of it. Usually I find discovering what these involves some group effort...
Anyone else have this issue and have any suspicions on what it could be? This may require a comparison of inventory between live and QA.
Once we narrow it down I will submit

 

i have six of these in my keys bag. so they are keys that are not quest-bound, because i could not have put those in a bag. gonna compare to live in a sec

 

2 colonel's home key (from upper fortus, i think?) (they don't stack)
1 dekker king's chest key
1 rusty penmawr island chest key
1 tenebris harbor cell key

not sure what the last one is

 

Ding! I had three keys from Tenebris which I have since put in a box in live, Big Benson's chest key, Dekker King's chest key, Lucia's chest key. I'll make a swing around Tenebris when I have some QA time. I don't know if that particular quest was expired out, I thought it was just the fire, extra corpses, and old prospector dance emote.

 

Went to Tenebris, was able to get a Dekker King's key, but it would not open the appropriate chests. I don't know where my unknown items went, so I can't see them side by side.

I'm glad that most of my items were in dressers and trunks, which are not affected by the "already looted" bug.

 

I suspect these have been fixed. I tried all the keys above and none turned up to be 'unknown items' for me.

Details: 4 Unknown items. I could check the chest they are in on live, but it's a temporary storage chest. I drop stuff in there to be sorted after adventuring, so it wouldn't be the same.

Since the DB was updated to Live this morning or so, I am able to confirm that my three Unknown Items are indeed those three keys from Tenebris. I had since put them in a chest on live, and that's where I found them today. Now I need to go by Tenebris again to have one of each of those keys!

My suspicion is that the items got remade somehow such that these keys were from the first few days of the new Tenebris, and the ones being generated now have a different ID or whatever. I had issues like that with quest-related items from the first few days of Blood River Outskirts.

 

I did go back and look at my chest on live, there are 4 keys in there that aren't on test. They are the Tenebris Harbor keys.

 

I went to Tenebris, and I now have my three Unidentified Items, one of which is probably a Dekker King's Chest Key, and I also have a brand new Dekker King's Chest Key.

Neither opens a "Dekker's Locked Chest", but I'll keep watch on that until after the hold on quest bug reports ends.
