According to the SotA Wiki, one of the things intelligence does is determine magic damage.

    http://sotawiki.net/sota/Intelligence

On the skills screen, spells specify the damage each spell does. For example:

level 57 discharge 14-18 air damage

Does this mean that if my intelligence increases, but my skill level in discharge (for example) stays the same, the damage the discharge spell does will increase?

Thanks for any insights anyone has!

Yes, you can cast enlightenment and see the damage go up, provided your enlightenment is doing enough int to see a full tick of damage.

Also, Every 4 points of intelligence increases the top value by 1,

Eg: If you have a spell that does 14-32 with say... 30 int, Adding 4 more to make it 34 will make the spell do 14-33 , if my math is right :)

I use moon mainly for protection ({elemntal magic) and for the debuffs (fireflies) and water shield, air dex buff, how are they related to int or do they have fixed numbers (i have not noticed an increase there...) Then meteor seems to be tied to its level as faar i have seen... but no idea (as usual with sota)

Meteor does go up with int, things like fireflies, shield of ice, death shield, stuff like that does not get int modifier.

Once I got the impression that +1 int gave the same effect as increasing all magic skills with +1

In other words (int + skill) decided the effect.

Also, Celestial Blessing is capped at a point. A few other spells are capped as well.

Yes, celestial, douse are capped as well purify, but you can stack purify 5 times to get 4 more death resistance, and 6 times for 5 more if your healing specialized.
