1. All post bodies concerning Shroud of the Avatar player to player transactions or services are limited to this section of the forums. Unwanted solicitation in other sections of the forums or via chat or private message is prohibited, and could result in account restriction or ban. Posting more than once per week within your own thread, "bumping" it to keep it on top, bumping within a week of the first post, and daily replacing a post with a new one is also considered spam and is therefore, prohibited.     Activities that involve real money exchanges between players are not allowed. Account transfers are not supported.     We will not restrict exchange of goods but we will not officially endorse these exchanges due to liability issues and staffing bandwidth. No in-game or chat based real money exchanges are allowed. Exchanges are at the players own risk and governed by the Terms of Service of whatever third party platform. Catnip Games reserves the right to restrict any activities if they cause widespread issues for our community or if these activities involve exploits of any kind.

    This is a winner takes all lottery.

    For the second draw there will be 25 tickets.

    Each ticket costs 20 k on the Solania Lottery vendor.

    The 25 tickets are numbered and published by me, Aeso Wondah.

    Once all tickets have been purchased, I will declare the draw date and time under this post.

    The draw will be held at the event center on my property in Solania.

    Commence the /roll 25 in front of eager contestants!

    We will do 1 roll for a winner takes all grand prize of 500k !!

    You need not be there to win!

    Thoughts...

    1. Will the flyer sold have a unique content # or character # string that only the lottery proprietor can authenticate?

    2. Aren't flyers copy-able without limit and aren't reproductions identical to the originals? Eg. have they fixed publishing yet - so that it identifies it is a copy of the original work.

    3. I presume that you would know that a player purchased the flyer because you would have their gold in the bank, but how do you know they purchased flyer #14 for example?

    4. What happens when you are then presented multiple winning tickets because the winner and a sidekick each purchased a ticket?

    Looks interesting as a test platform lottery - but barring the above limitations being addressed it can't go far.

    Hey guys !

    I have been in chat with some of the people involved and these are the thoughts I have :

    The first 3 draws will be beta draws and in a 50/50 format. The amount of tickets will depend on how well the sales go.

    This will allow Solania Lottery to bank some coin, and still give everyone awesome odds at real good coin for themselves.

    The 4th draw, which will hopefully be our grand opening non beta draw, barring everything goes well, will be 50 tickets at 20 k each, the grand prize being the whole 1 million gold !

    At this point we will have come up with more new and exciting types of lotteries, that will be much more lucrative for the player !

    Please share thoughts and comments !

    Brickbat :

    Each ticket is #'d and published by me.

    I will only give the prize money to the person with the winning ticket, if they are on the list in the bank of tickets purchased. If a copy surfaces, the "winner" will have been in kahoots with the copyer so they can't be upset when one prize is given out.

    I will not collect any money from the bank until the draw is complete to insure verification.

    I am monitoring purchases, and have an accurate list of who has what ticket ;)

    That being said, I have an idea to completely legitimize the process, that being , either taking 1 gold off or adding 1 gold to ticket #1, then I would know 100 % who bought it. example ticket #1 costs 20,001

    Again, let me know !

    IT JUST GOT EVEN BETTER !

    After listening to suggestions, I have decided to move from a less aggressive business model, which had its perks for future draws, to a break even model to build interest.

    There will be 1st 2nd and 3rd place prizes now. There will still be a portion going to Solania Lottery, enough to cover costs of advertising, and future draws, events and ideas. One of my team members mentioned casino :) ...As I develop the process I intend to make lotterys less of a 50/50 .or a 75/25 or whatever and more of a mass prize pool which will grow with tickets sold.

    Please keep the ideas coming , I am open to all suggestions.

    And remember to get your ticket for the first draw before they are all gone !!

    Thank you all for the awesome support ! We are holding the draw tomorrow, April 30th at 1pm CST on the Solania Lottery property. There will be a meet and greet at 12:30 and an after party in my living quarters below.

    For the first couple draws, until we figure out a regular schedule, I will be messaging everyone who purchased a ticket tomorrow morning to let them know. Do not worry, you do not need to be present to win, however, keep your ticket !

    The schedule is posted up above for the types of draws coming up. Tickets for draw # 2 which is a non profit draw, will go up on sale tomorrow at 12pm CST.

    Draw # 2 is a big one ;) !!

    I bought one ticket in the lottery and won 250K, a lot better odds than the real lottery. I was even there for the drawing, so I got the prize money right away. I spent part of it for a Belt of the OX. The lottery is a fun way to boost your, assets if you win. Aeso runs a great game.

I will have to admit that I've already scoured the public vendors for all kinds of goodies :D Sorry I couldn't be in attendance during the drawing this week due to work but I want to thank you for your prompt message and delivery!
