Can we get some consistency in dragging from stacked items in inventory and storage. The inconsistency was incredibly confusing as a new player and still remains a challenge to inventory management.

Dragging a stack sometimes grabs 1 item but other times grabs the full stack. By default it should always grab the full stack. Ctrl-Drag to drag 1 item from the stack. Shift-Drag to specify an amount.

Some current examples of drag amounts by type...
    Fruit - drags 1
    Meat - drags full stack
    Fish - drags 1
    Carcass - drags full stack
    Grains - drag full stack
    Milk - drags 1
    Mushrooms - drags full stack
Flasks and Jars - drag 1
    Garlic - full stack

it's not inconsistent at all, it's a matter of deco mode. turn deco mode off when you're not using it and you'll always get the whole stack. if you have deco on, and you drag something that is placeable as deco, it assumes you want to deco with it and only grabs one.

Thanks, that should be one of the game hints that appears early on for new players. I believe the game hints are totally random, but they should have a priority ranking for the ones that are the most useful to new players so they get hints like this within the first 10-20 hours of game play. It shouldn't have taken me 5 months of playing and a post on the forum to find out that deco mode affects inventory management.

That's also a little bit inconsistent in itself. Some food consumables are deco, and thus default to grabbing one; other food consumables are not deco.
