Is there any way to turn off the cardinal directions in scenes?

I see the cardinal directions written in large, white letters at the appropriate, well, directions, in a scene. Turning off the compass does not turn them off.

 

i don't have that. is it just in one scene?

 

The big directional letters were in Port Graff when it was under construction as well.

I believe the devs make them visible when testing the scene.

As Alley Oop noted, you should report which specific scenes you see them in.

 

The Mysterious Swamp is the scene-- my favorite haunt. They haven't been there on the live servers.

Anyway, I have another commitment for tonight, so I'm off.

They should be reported as bugs once we get closer to release. They are visual aids for worldbuilders and are not intended to go live. (Note: you are not playing a live build and some scenes are still under VERY active development)
