One thing I highly recommend is to ask questions, and don't hesitate to ask them. There is so much to this game, even after 5 years I still learn new things daily!

Hope you'll enjoy your time here as much as we do!

 

Get immersed in all the world. Create your own lore. Write that story in a book in game. Make multiple copies of that book on a printing press. Distribute that book around the world.

Introduce yourself to collectors, crafters, merchants, miners, farmers, and ask them what makes them tick. Find someone who has lots of emotes and recipes and ask them to teach you all they can, it will help you a great deal early on, and give you an idea of just how much there is to do.

Ask questions in universe with /u

Add EVERYONE to your friends list. People will often check if you're added and then add you regardless. You can use teleport to friend scrolls to get around the world quickly when necessary.

Explore. You're already going to, and you're going to enjoy it. The world is immense and the world builders did a fantastic job of giving us zones that tell a story visually.

Above all, just have fun your way no matter what.

Many will say "RP", but clarifying their meaning can result in as little as "M'Lord, M'Lady, Doth, Shall Hail thee", with the bulk of the rest of their text gaming content being even far less, as there's nothing any deeper to be found. At times, we ourselves are the worst examples what our conversationalists should be. It's the ways we encounter both conversationalist and player which deepens our RP or sees it promptly dissipate.

Situational RP of the individual is where best RP is rendered and grown from, no matter what is being said or how it's said. To be deep in character is to leave all else behind, not to fool or deceive reality, but to enhance a reality through shedding the past or what lay outside our gaming, and then take it from there, never allowing any to snap you out of your own self induced hypnosis in the dream.
