Can we get a temporary buff (like 1 hr?) to Int for laying in a bed? Maybe the size of buff or length of time increases depending on the quality of the bed?

I'd see good argument for it boosting all stats due to being well rested. But then we'd also need them to do partial boost for bedrolls (not as comfortable so not as big/long a boost, but place-able anywhere safe)

Finally we have sleeping in beds possible. I agree with what you say. Hoping that bed benefits are just not in yet. Lol well I truly couldn't say that in any other way that could sound innocent, but there you have it ;). Hear Hear for sleeping in beds to matter ;)

I hope you will be able to sleep in a bed then log off, and when you get back on you have a "well-rested" bonus.

This would be the best solution. Loging into a game, laying to bed and then doing nothing for xx minutes to get a buff for yy minutes makes no sense at all.

That's something I could very well imagine: You put up a camp on the overlandmap (with some camping-kit that needs to be crafted maybe) and so generate some small campingscene. Other players may or may not join that scene and join you at your camp... yes, sure.... why not?

I played one MMO where when you logoff, your avatar stays in the world laying on the ground in a sleeping bag. It was a PvP world, so other players would just come kill you or drag you off to prison. That game really sucked because the hackers had GOD mode and would just fly around in the air dropping piles of mobs on you. Needless to say, I stopped playing that one.

I like this idea, but it's likely to spark the 'pledge housing is pay for advantage' debate. There would need to be a pathway for the 'homeless' to get this buff as well. Inns are a good possibility, but since they are not instanced, they could easily get full in MPO.

Lots of other beds around, bedrolls here and there... from utility standpoint I don't see them as being any different than crafting stations.

Could work. Would have to be carefully implemented.

I think small but long lasting buff (8 hours?) buff for logging out (and back in) in bed would be neat. Players not having home could use NPC beds or beds of players with accessible house.

There are bedrolls in many of the adventuring scenes.

Bedrolls would work fine for homeless players. You can find bedrolls in 1 skull camps all over the map. You could then lay out the rolls in a city and sleep anywhere you find shelter. Players with houses could designate spaces in their homes with inn tiles for people to camp in as well which could give achievements based on the amount of people you get to sleep in your house over time and the reverse achievement for homeless players the amount of houses you have slept in over time.

I'd make it so the rested buff lasted as long as the player had been logged out (but cap it somewhere between 4-8 hours). Otherwise, I see this being exploitable. I'd also do bedrolls giving only 1/2 or 2/3 the buff that a bed and meal does. And definitely have it be one of the inns in the towns that you sleep in, and not just some random bed in an NPC's house.
