Jumped Off Cliff: Distract Skill Increased

I jumped off a cliff in the East Reach Gap. My distract skill increased. The Safe Fall skill did not increase. In addition, I have the Distract skill set to not train, and the Safe Fall skill set to train.

By any chance your Distract skill is less than 10. If so, then it will raise distract to 10 (minimum requirement) before you can train safe fall.

 

I raised Distract on the first thing I fought, and it was LOCKED.
So, are you saying that EVERYTHING that is under 20 raises IN SPITE of being LOCKED ?

I just looked and my Distract is now 25, so the "under 20" theory doesn't hold.
Safe Fall is a separate issue from the fact that Distract raises as soon as combat is initiated, when the skill level is 25 and locked.

 

What's the minimum requirement for Safe fall in this build?

 

Actually the level 20 bit is correct. The minimum to train Train Dexterity is a Distract of 20 this build. The minimum to train Safe Fall is a Train Dexterity of 40. I have a Train Dexterity of 80, so there is no issue there. I had my Distract locked at 10, as that was the minimum needed to train Train Dexterity in prior builds. Now that my Distract is at 20, it is not increasing when I jump off cliffs, while the Safe Fall skill is increasing. So, never mind the bug report. However it might be something to remind players about.

 

Looks like it's the end of era for all min req of prior skill set to 10 then.
