On the second day of Midsommar, Jay Nord, the Gothi of Norstead, and Helvig Ingvildsdottir, Völva in Helboer, invite you to celebrate a symbel with them, followed by some games and other entertainment.

A symbel is a drinking ritual during which we invoke our gods, drink to our ancestors, honor lost friends and family, and remind everyone about our own great deeds of the past and/or promise new deeds of grandeur.

Word of caution: The whisky is going to be strong!

After the symbel there is going to be a treasure hunt with prizes.

Date: Sunday, June 30, 2pm NBT
    Location: Helboer
    (District of Kahli)

    OOC information

    About the roleplay
This is a very interactive roleplay occasion for those that want it, but you can also RP quietly or simply watch. Everyone is welcome. Please try not to disrupt the roleplay of others.

    About the location
Kahli is a no-ransom PvP POT. The hosts of this event are not going to attack their guests, but we cannot guarantee that others won't. You are not going to lose anything, though.

    Directions
Kahli can be found in the Hidden Vale, next to Braemar. You can either access it from the overworld map or by using a wagon in Braemar. Helboer is just above the wagon to Braemar, the large walled fortress you see from afar. Kahli has an up-to-date map. You can use it to find Helboer.

We did a test run of the treasure hunt, and wow, it was great fun. Also got some nice goody bags as prizes prepared and the 25 y/o whisky ready just in time.

Looking forward to seeing you all there, and hope to meet some new people. If you never RP'ed before or just want to watch but not RP, you are welcome, and don't worry. Simply be curious, open-minded, and respectful (at least as a general OOC attitude, IC be whoever you want to be).

I have company this weekend, it's the national holiday of Canada on Monday and the activites have not allowed me time to play at all during the daytime. I'm going to miss tomorrow too. Sadly.

Starting in 30 minutes. Join us for some good time that can be (if you want it) a little deeper than plain tavern RP.

After a beautiful drinking ritual with quite some surprises concerning the toasts (and many of us unprepared for the power of the 25 y/o whisky), a delicious mutton stew from yesterday's sacrificial sheep was had, after which those that still could walk engaged in a treasure hunt all throughout Kahli to be the first to solve Dotta's riddles and take home one of the nine prize packs that had been prepared.

Tialessa made first prize, solving both riddles first, and chose the Scholar Prize Pack as her reward, which contained not only Olthadir's treatises on the Principles and his other non-fiction books, but also a Truly Courageous Cloak of Compassion, a sign of applied understanding of the Virtues.

Thai came in second and chose the Viking Prize Pack with a Viking Storage Chest filled with different kinds of Viking and Norgard patterns, Viking braziers, a Viking helmet, three volumes of Helvig's book series "The Aesir and Vanir", and a voucher for a free rune reading from Jay Nord.

It was a rough race for third place, which was finally won by Langois due to his competitors getting lost in Kahli. His prize of choice, as everyone had guessed, was the Beer Prize Pack which came with one each of the non-craftable Bierkrugs, eternal patterns for a beer cask and a beer basement entrance, three casks of beer from the breweries of Hannah Alpenglow and Corte Grimward, a beer tent, two Oktoberfest banners, and a seared Marlin steak.
