Just how much loot is too much loot?

    Really, how much loot do you @Chris @DarkStarr think is too much? there isn't any scaling of loot as of yet, but there are a lot of nerfs to loot. I imagine someone somewhere must be using a doozy of an exploit to justify all these nerfs. But I'd now like to really understand, what is the target you think we should be at?

    woud olso like to know .
    the curent model makes it more proffitable to kill greens instead of yellows if you just want gold .

    In most games its more efficient to kill greens. The kills over time always seems to outweigh the quality of the kill.

    yes but in most gamess the yellows give more loot then the greens .
    curently thy are nerfing a lot .
    bigger hp on mobs , faster respawn and meaner monsters in mines and stuff.
    whitout adding more loot on the bigger monsters .
    a 5 skul bandit drops the exact same loot as a 1 skull .

    This is one of the things that really irks me about the game. Especially considering the usage of reagent to kill said 5 skull vs 1 skull. There is little reward to play at the higher level atm.

    I believe loot tables are yet to be added, but I would also like to know the plans for them.

    In most games, as you kill higher level mobs you get better chances at better gear as well as more money.

    In this game, the highest level of gear is apparently all supposed to come from crafters, and as others have pointed out the gold has already been nerfed a bunch so it seems like any good gold generating area is not intended either. So I'm very curious to know what sort of incentive players will have to advance to higher level areas and kill higher level creatures.

    P.S. I know there will be rare crafting materials but considering that gear basically lasts forever, after a short time there won't be any real market for these high end materials, at least not enough to justify farming them for any length of time.

    I had also read that a portion of the items sold back to npc (such as crafted grinding items) were to show on mobs as loot. I have never ever found a player made item on a mob.

    This is not surprising though considering it's not at all profitable to make items to sell to vendors. So there are not too many crafted items being sold to vendors in the first place. Hopefully this is something that will get adjusted over time to be worth it so that we can actually see items show up randomly like that.

    I know I have sold at least 2000 wolf hats to vendors :)

    I usually make about the same in Serpent's Spine or Twins Foothills.
