    I was standing in the field testing some new arrangements of stacked buffs late this evening when suddenly I heard a loud rolling crack of thunder. I wasn't sure it was in-game so I took my headphones off but yeah...it definitely was. I guess they were testing it. A couple more cracks which made me flinch a little..in a good way...and it was quiet again. Sounded good!

    you can use /rain emote to do this (maybe someone on your scene are using it.. or maybe a rain magic spell)

    Maybe that was it. Didn't see anyone else around except my guild mate and he thought I did it. Perhaps the sound has a pretty far range.

    Hmmm. I was in single player mode yesterday and experienced what may be weather effects too. I have been wondering if it was my imagination and have been waiting for it to happen again so I can be more sure of what is going on.

    I've heard the crack of thunder in-game. It made me jump right out of my chair. I also took off my headset to make sure it wasn't real :)

    /rain and Soothing Rain seem to have scene wide sound for some reason:)

    I love hearing the sounds even if some may be place holders, well except a few like the barking wolves will be embedded in our minds forever or the growling skeletons.:eek: :)
