This makes no sense, but my game crashes and boots me off every time I try to buy/sell a COTO NPC. I can talk and buy/sell to any other NPC and all is fine, but every COTO crashes. I don't have any coins, but wanted to look before I spent real money for COTO. Anyone????

Which specific COTO vendor are you talking to and where?

@Aldornia Can you stand near the merchant and type "/loc" in chat then paste the contents of your clipboard here?

Especially the Housing-Crown-Merchant needs a long time to load the inventory. If your machine is near minimum spec (or lower) there is a chance that your client becomes froozen for to long and the server do not receive an answer of its ping. You are send back to the main menu. However, a second try should succeed. The inventory is cached now.

please use /bug in the chat window shortly before you use buy/sell on the crown merchant. And report it here in forum. The /bug command contains your loc (/loc) and the spec of your machine.

I appreciate you trying to help and I know this will sound stupid, but I have no idea how to access the clipboard. I'm running Windows 7 on an Alienware computer.

LOL No you said create a new thread, which I did. But further with the House Deed NPC in Resolute I tried buy/sell 4 times. Each time I got closed with the following: "ALTAIR9000 Networking connection closed by server."

With "System RAM: 8108" you system very likely is swapping. With a slow HDD (for game and pagefile.sys) you may out of luck.
You can try to switch graphic to fastest or fast and close all other applications, to save memory. And disable "Aggressive Deco loading"! (options -> video)
If possible add 8 Gig of memory to your computer.

Edit: disabling "Enable Conversation Close-Ups" may also help (options -> interface)

I don't want to beat the proverbial dead horse, but I believe this problem is something other than my computer. I've played this game for about 6 months and never had this problem until after last patch. In reading through the forums, it actually seems to be a persistent problem for at least the last 2 years. Up until about 3 months ago, I was running both SotA and WOW without ANY crashes, lag or whatever for either game. I like this game a lot and will continue to play; however, I will no longer spend any real money since I cannot use COTO. Maybe if this gets fixed I'll spend some money again.
