Thank you for pointing it out, and for being supportive. I guess people are crystal clear about how to answer Oracle's questions correctly. To wit:

I just wanted to be explicit in the explanation, while not pointing anybody out.

Nevertheless @Kara Brae gave similar advice twice:

I assume that your fatherly advice covers that answers as well.

Thank you again, for good policing, and keeping us all honest.

    Correct.

Oracle tests will work normally now (though you may have to wait 24h from your last "failed" test.
Mail quest will work as well. If you have already used up your "I lost my mail" due to this bug that will be reset with the next patch (watch the patch notes for this).

I have a problem with the test, in that, if you don't type it in exactly right, like say you type, "yes I ddo" (note the extra d) you can't ask again for 24 hours :(

hrm, it SHOULD ask you to repeat yourself if it can't understand, but it will also understand just the "yes".

Confirmed - if you say anything not understood, the Oracle will respond "I'm sorry, I need a clear answer" and ask again. What it sounds like you're describing is that it's recognizing "yes" and that was not the correct answer.

Yes was definitely the correct answer... I tested it yesterday, I will try again later tonight.

    Thanks! :D

This broke again at midnight UTC (7pm EST). I logged in earlier today, and got my 500/500. When I tried again just now, the Oracle tested me, but did not give the gift.

Same. Subsequent test passed w/ no reward.

@Lum the Mad, is the oracle quest now going back to 24 hour cool down instead of server reset at 12 AM EST?

If so then it should just not give the test, not refuse to pay.

I got the money last night around 11:30 PM EST, but I was told that I took the test this morning.

Which makes me wonder if the reset time is actually 12 AM EDT instead of EST.

It's midnight UTC, not Eastern. This was reported in R35 bug forum.

I did this yesterday in Central Brittney around Noon Eastern Time. Tried just now at 6:30PM Eastern Time and I get the message: It has been too soon since you last took my test. Please return again later that you may test yourself.
What is the time frame for doing this test? I thought it reset at Midnight, but still had to wait a certain time. Is there a new requirement that you must visit different Oracles? For those of you that did the quest yesterday, were you able to repeat today? If yes, were they done at the same or different Oracles?
    Thanks

Pretty sure I did both tests at Kingsport.

If it's truly 12 AM UTC, then it should reset by 7 PM EST, right?

I am going to take a wild guess here. @Lum the Mad , please take a look.

I am totally guessing, but on the next day after, I was able to get the Oracle to work again. Is it possible that the back-end XP check is doing a 24-hour window? And is it also possible that the Dev that did that work didn't realize that in R35 the Oracle quest was moved from being a 24-hour window of refresh to a midnight refresh? So now the Oracle will allow to ask for the test at midnight (UTC), but if it's been < 24 hours since the last time, the new code will keep the reward from being given?

    Posting this on both threads.

It is entirely likely that the backend check is checking per 24 hour period. I will go clarify now.

Update: it indeed is and will be fixed via a server fix most likely today. No patch needed.
