Details: Edvard wants a bow - but I did not see any bows around to pick up, nor do I know how to pick up a bow off the ground if I did see one glowing blue or something. If I find it, I still don't know how to equip any gear if I had.
Steps to Reproduce: Follow prompts like a new player might.

while its not clear to new players, of course the first weapon you pick up when empty handed is auto equipped.. which means of course they dont get told how to do it.

The blue glowing bow was back by the well.. I will go check if its still the case

 

Um, you arrive you already have a bow.. Plus it seems odd that by the time you get to the bridge chances are you already needed to fight the undead, so, the instructions come a little late

 

I was playing through as-if I was a new player - and doing only what I was prompted to for the most part. I already bugged yesterday that I got into combat before any info on how to fight - but I had a bow already equipped and auto-attack was enabled, so the game did "something" for me.

Since new players now have a bow auto-equipped when entering the scene, requiring them to find another before proceeding seems like an unnecessary roadblock.

Yes - Edvard is still not following me and telling me to go look for a bow. I cheated and looked at my character sheet, even though I don't know how to do that as a new player - and I already have a bow.

 

Odd I litterally just went through there as a new player he said "I see you have a bow" and we went across the bridge

 

You must have picked one up ? I'm just following what the game tells me to do - and I have never been prompted to pick up a bow or seen a blue glowing bow.

 

FYI @Lord Subtleton more info - there are also no compass markers or a journal entry or task for this.

 

Nope, as I arrived in scene, having picked a name and look, I had a bow.. it was something I saw on the forums saying they already had a bow.. and indeed I did.

I have the Bridge Defender's Bow equipped and various bows from Rewards in my Inventory but Edward still insists I should go back to pick up a specific bow.

Ok, I thought this issue had been resolved. I've added a new issue #64945.

EDIT: I'm being told that this issue really is fixed. So please recheck this in the first live build of release 66.
