[Known] Special attacks do nothing

Title: Special attacks do nothing

Details: I'm using the polearm special attacks (Puncture, Spinning Attack, Leg Sweep, etc) and sometimes they do nothing to my target. Once this happens, they will have no effect on my target for the entire fight. Only the standard attack has effect.

I was having this with my bludgeon yesterday, the mob just did not take any damage with my attacks. I thought it just was some special hardcore mini boss

Thanks for the report! Let us know if you are able to narrow down steps to reproduce this, or if you think of any other relevant information about the context/situation in which this tends to happen.

 

i have seen this on some child zombies lately. i can hit them with skills with my 2h sword as they approach, but once they get to the range they want and start attacking me, only autoattack will work.
have also seen this near a cotton bush with bandits in twins foothills. saw another player post about that spot, will look it up in a bit.

 

Same here. Additional note. If I give some space to the zombie children, then skills will hit as long as the zombie children are moving to approach me. Once they stand still and attack, only auto-attack hits. I run into this at tenebris harbor in the house with the lucky nugget most often.
