Lady Ransom (Truth Quest) Help Required

I am using this video as a guide to assist me on the Truth Quest

It has an 80+ step guide to complete the quest.

43. Avitas tells you to speak with Lady Ransom, who gives you a virtue choice, in the inn
44. You’re sent to Etceter Crag Mines for a Black Iron Ore
45. Crag Foothills are right next to Etceter
46. Go right or left, all the way through to the Etceter Crag Mines
47. Go straight and right to Mackey in a room on the first level
48. Give Mackey “Lady Ransom’s Introduction” and “Lady Ransom’s Package” to receive the Black Iron Ore

I said yes to Lady Ransom I would NOT attack the Bandits. I entered the mine and was immediately attacked upon seeing a bandit. I did not strike back Auto attack disabled, opened the letter nothing (healing through the attacks), found the Bandit leader opened the letter nothing, clicked to trade, nothing, in local chat say ransom, package, lady ransom, mackey, attacked. So I reset the instance and tried again same thing. Tried again the next day, same problem.

So I killed everyone and took the black iron.

Now I have Lady Ransom's Letter & Package in my inventory. I spoke to lady Ransom again, nothing new.

What do I do now?
How do I get rid of these two quest items?
Is there a way to solve this quest? (I prefer to delete this and finish the rest of Truth quest)

Went on SOTA discord, they say I am stuck with the inventory items as the game has this "problem"
