left handed targeting

I have observed that if I target an enemy while there is another enemy behind and to left of the desired enemy that the first attack, what ever it may be, is preceded by switching targets to the enemy behind and to the left of the desired enemy. Once that takes place the only way to get another enemy targeted is to move to a position so that my desired enemy is behind and to the left of the stupid enemy i have wrongly targeted. Tab targeting in this situation has proven futile as my target immediately switches back to the wrongly targeted enemy.

reproduction is about 75% , I estimate.
