    Thanks everyone, I will try and post a few more in the next day or two. I have 3 other buildings I've made.

    I mentioned in another thread, but if anyone is interested in Lego building, I would be happy to chat about techniques, how to get brick, good sites to read, etc... I would actually love to get a group of SotA/Ultima Lego enthusiasts together and share ideas.

    For those interested, here is the Lego Digital Designer Software (Free): http://ldd.lego.com/en-us/default.aspx?icmp=COUSCreateShareSL100LDD. It's not the best software, and takes some time to get good with, but it's hard to argue with free.

    I do some digital LEGO modeling on my Mac using Bricksmith (as well as real-world modeling, but not quite to the same caliber as seen here). It uses parts from LDRAW. LDRAW saves files as .ldr, which LEGO Digital Designer will import (but the files may not always be compatible, or parts can end up missing in LDD). I've also managed to do some digital rendering using POV-RAY, and some intermediate conversions, but my current setup (and/or config settings) doesn't produce the best results.

    Question: What scale are you using? E.g. how many LEGO studs per real-world / SotA game-world unit?

    Request: Do you have any modular designs for the basic fences around housing plots?

    I've been doing minifig scale for most of my buildings (I'm just starting to play with mini/micro scale), though I'm doing visual sizing, not stud length. Part of that is because some of the angles are just a pain.

    The plots however I have sized to go with the official sizes: 1stud/foot
    so village = 20x30
    town = 30x40
    city = 40x60

    I have just basic wood layed down, but now that you mention it, I should make them reflect the correct plot type. Thanks for giving me something to do tonight. I can send you the .lxf file if you want a copy.

    I just found another great Lego resource, LegoCAD: http://www.leocad.org/trac
    It has some nice features over the digital designer, though the database is not as complete.

    I also posted my plots outline in .lxf format on the legosota.wordpress.com site.

    I converted your plots file from LDD to LDRAW and ran it through my POV-RAY rendering. I had to tweak some colors as my setup doesn't handle all of the available choices. (I still don't have the lighting effects down quite yet.)

    I setup a gallery at http://s1294.photobucket.com/user/aevans7106/library/LEGO SotA for future renders. I have top-down, front, and isometric views setup for when I render. Here's the iso view:

    Awesome! I'm new to LegoCAD, so I'm just learning right now. I was able to get my assets imported into it (like you said, there are some color issues) and export to 3DsMax and Unity.

    If you're okay with it, I'd love to put those pictures on the LegoSotA site.

    Looking good Joseph! Haven't had the chance to chat with you in a hangout in quite a while so thought id just drop a note in here.

    Keep up the great work and if you need a hand with the site at all don't hesitate to drop me a note.

    Ignore that Facebook link I gave you a call out on earlier. Was a link to some robotic stuff some kids where playing with, but apparently I hadn't realized it wasn't a public post :).

    Got a plug in for you and your project over at the Caverns. Maybe it will help drum up some more interest for you!

    Thanks for the call-out Stile. I'm quite new to WordPress, so everything is new to me. Lori has been helping me with the basics, but I will certainly take you up on the offer when I need it.
    I see you have some of my old Facebook photos of my castle graveyard there. Maybe I'll highlight that project sometime, it's a massive castle I was building before SotA. It's about 6' by 3'.

    The LegoSotA site has moved to its permenant home at www.LegoSotA.com (finally). Thanks to Dame Lori for her help in getting it hosted and moved. As a bonus, here is a picture of the almost done Founder's Citizen Home.

    I have now almost completed my directory of micro-scale sized versions of player housing. I need to catch-up on a few of the latest, but here is a link to the roster: http://legosota.com/lego-sota/micro-scale/

    Here is the city section of Owls Head done up with the micro-scale assets:
