So after a major scramble irl due to alot of random things im back full swing into art.

So... after many happenings irl, im back crunching out art.
Currently I have a few backlogged and am working on fullfilling those commissions.
Heres the first to be finished up. Another for Cordelayne the beast!

 

Utterly amazing!!! I love it Leo! Cordelayne, a fantastic and noble request. It's like a stained glass window belonging in a Temple of the Hospitallers (if there were such a thing haha). Thanks Leo for being awesome!

hehe yea thats sorta what i was shooting for. This, Ill admit, was one of the most challenging pieces for me to put together. Im still kinda formulating the blend of styles and experimenting alot. This Mixture of Graphic/Art Nouveau/Geometric/Tradional give it the sorta "Stained Glass" feel.
Typically I try to focus on One object or character with this style, as I like to incorporate small details, that tend to get lost in a broader piece. So for this piece I had to approach in a different way as I knew it would be viewed scaled back alot. So to balance the details and readability was a tough task. As well as include terrain and other elements, i had never attempted in this style before, so yea was a large learning project for me. I prolly went through about 10 different versions of this thing lol.
Here you can see the detail in the face, So as you can see some of that still gets lost a bit when viewed as a whole.

But I do enjoy making some art thats viewed one way from a distance, but when you get closer you can dive into the little parts.
Definitely something Im still working on, but hope to take it to the next level with each piece.

Just thought Id through out a little in sight as to what and where I coming from with this odd ball style.
