Lets all get very, very, drunk & spend sh*tloads to celebrate LBs Birthday this time around :)

..and of course to give our beloved SOTA and the *poor beleaguered developers* a huge boost and surprise the bejeezsus out of them, in a positive way.

* I often wonder what the Devs think of us virtual folk some of the forum antics of late have been.. emotional. That said, what is becoming increasingly clear to me is that despite us tearing into each other on a daily basis, almost everyone on this forum loves the idea of SOTA, enjoys much of its content, and it is only our passion for the game and our desire to make it great that makes things occasionally 'tasty'.

I don't know about you folks (i'm going out on a bit of a limb here) but I'm getting on a bit and I've played them all, and I want SOTA to be my MMO /RPG for life. I came here because of Richard Garriott, the papers I read on the Dev's 'vision' for the game and the CVs of the Developers who joined with RG who are all clearly as crazy as we all are about the vision for SOTA.

I've read so much about declining numbers, this missing feature, that broken feature, ..negative this, negative that, but can't we do something different, something special and unique,something spontaneous and positive - this is the SOTA community?

OK, a futile (perhaps) but noble grand gesture on today's birthday Livestream, in support of the great man himself and his noble Lieutenants. Lord British is a great man in the real and virtual world. I love his ideas, his passion and his humanity. He is an agent for change.

This morning I went out, had a large coffee a bit of cake and paid for parking. Cost: £10. I intend to make that waste of money pall into insignificance later on when I support my first love in gaming

I personally have already cracked a bottle (its 3:30 in the UK and in 5 hours and 22 minutes...gods help me. I may sell the farm...

While I have been known to keep a bottle in my bottom desk drawer, I think my employer would take exception to me sitting in my cube and getting very, very drunk.

@Woodchuck Woody, in addition to the general sale discounts we're continuing on with part 2 of the LB BD sale, many of the items I love:

I'm looking forward to hear more about their plan for housing and POTs for Episode 2 since these are things that players would spend most money on in the long term.

I bought into this cult of personality at first 3 years ago but not any more. LB is just another guy trying to make a living, nothing more nothing less. Im amazed at the worship some people have.
