I haven't play for since R41 so I can't say if it was already the case during R42.

This behaviour happened with both Launcher and Steam.

When I start the game, the first window doesn't appear normaly. It looks like I had a 640x480 definition but actualy, it is a zoom in.

I can see the mouse cursor and the "Start" button but I can't clic it.

After that when I use the "escape" keyboard key it shows up a transparent menu with two transparent and empty buttons that I can't clic either. I guess it is the "would you really quit?" menu.

So, the only solution I've got is to kill the process to close it.

if you're launching it full-screen, don't. if you're launching it in a window, right click on the title bar and unmaximize it and resize it. this will force a redraw. i had to do it once a session in r42. in r43 it's sometimes resetting itself wrong when i change shadow settings too.
