Looks amazing ! i seriously hope this is a high level area .... Like a R12 or R14 area. We need a lot more diversity than K'rul monkeys / The Rise / The Fall.

    Interesting.

The troll will be exciting but what/who is the hunch back creature?

Perhaps the cabalist is in his home territory in one of those pictures?

This is getting better and better. Those encounters look pretty intense.

It looks fantastic @Vas Corp Por . Wow the scenes with strange looking creatures look very interesting. I really hope that means we will see new situations and new scary creatures to fight. That is so missing. All the bandits sound just a like, it is just too much repetitive boring. We need surprises to keep us on our toes which doesn't just mean making the same thing we are fighting a higher level to kill us harder etc. The Reaper was a fantastic start. Now we need our giant rock creature here and there. Let some scary creatures occasionally roam our scenes to shake us up , random spawning creature, screeching or making scary sounds at us, and either make us jump, run for cover and hide, take them on or call friends to help, or avoid them.

I couldn't agree more! The Lost Vale is supposed to be a mysterious place, so it should have mysterious monsters that aren't normally found elsewhere. I do hope they consider adding some more unique flora, fauna, NPCs, mobs and bosses that can only be found here.

To a point .... but we need to be a bit careful about how many areas are 'gated' in the game. It's good for some places to be challenging to get to, and fit in with the 'lore' of the world, but the other side of making areas for the 'high end' player is that the majority of people - who by definition are not 'high end' players- can respond in two ways, one is 'I want the challenge of getting there' but the other is 'yet another really pretty place that I can't go to'.

We already have a lot of stunningly designed scenes that, bluntly, a majority of the playerbase will never visit, either because of playstyle choices or not being prepared (or able) to reach high levels. The cumulative effect of these sort of decisions, over time, is important for an mmo that wants a long life cycle, since being 'reminded' every few days that there are these lovely places you won't ever see is less likely to inspire folks to reach those 'levels', and potentially likely to discourage people from playing when they keep getting the feeling they are not the playerbase the developers are designing for.

true but if you want a zone to truely be appreciated and used... you need to have a strong incentive to go there. Mines have high level producer xp... What will this have ? competative xp and or loot are the only things that will draw people to keep coming back after the novelty wears off.

Sad to hear the entire scene is group content. Have fun, everybody.

Darkstarr, in the live stream. The screen was showing it as a tier 2 scene, so somebody asked about that. I forget the exact words of his response, something to the effect of, "it's not a tier 2 scene. It is much higher. There are some easy enemies at first, but it escalates quickly. It's pretty high, you'll want to bring a group."

(For the record, my earlier comment wasn't meant as a complaint, but as a regret. I get that there is going to be group content. I'm not angry, just a little bummed.)

Anyway. Back to discussing the vale:

Could we get a bit more detail on the timing for access? It's going to be accessible monthly (NBT), which means once per day. Is it the same time every day, or does that change from day to day?

We have an overwhelming amount of zones that are less than 5 skulls. It's incredibly easy to get strong enough to do a 4 skull zone. Unless I just read this wrong, you're way off base.
