[MAC] First impressions

Yesterday I started playing with Steam version on my Mac:
1) Controlling of char, moving, fighting, camera was horrible, not really playable, no fun at all.
(Tried on a Win PC - what a difference !!)
(Tried installing windows version on mac with Crossover to compare but failed)

2) Fighting ? 90% of fights I die and do not get any clue how to survive:
for example "giant spiders" in Owl's Nest I cannot get passed those two, tried magic and bow, no chance

3) Moving from scene to scene is now working and faster than R10w

Friday:
Update via Steam: Controlling of char is suddenly much more accurate and way more fluent.
But still view is "jumping" on right click - not as much as yesterday and not always
My "Round Shield" is now visible.
And key commands seem to work better than yesterday
No will check fighting.

Edit:
Game freezes / crashes quite frequently.

Saturday
MAC: Controlling of char became again more fluent after update!
WIN: Game is way more stable and crashes only rarely.

leveled up to 11 in Ravensmore:
a 2H equipped skeleton kills me easily, others do barely scratch me
Mages with Fireball do not hurt at all, spiders with poison still kill me extremely fast

 

I too had Steam problems on the Mac. I turned off the steam overlay and it really improved.

Game is not dark but black at night. Just entered West Ravenswood and saw ... nothing but a black screen.
"Light" spell brings a tiny bright circle around char else all is black.

This makes playing during day time very difficult. Had to wait a few minutes till dawn.

 

Wolf Spiders still kill way too fast with their poison attack. You can hardly see them in the dark and they need only 2 or 3 poison attacks to kill.
BTW: 200 G for a healing portion ? Who can afford this ?

Edit: They seem to hit me with every attack while mine miss quite often! Even in close combat they kill me faster than I can.
