Is it just me or do mages do no damage anymore?

As a general rule I seem to damage stuff for around 10 damage.

 

Ok this is just depressing.

60 Int. 59 Points in Fire arrow, 56 points in Ice Arrow................damage to a little wolf spider:

9 - Ice Arrow
7 - Fire Arrow
8 - Ice Arrow
8 - Fire Arrow

Just out of curiosity... what's your adventurer level?

 

30 at the moment

 

Then it's plainly sad Playing an archer i was getting low hits but now i'm adv lvl 11 and i hit for decent damage on low level critters... They sure have a lot of things to fix xD

 

It's all of us mages. I do around 6 damage at level 50 ice arrow. I have 30 int, 18 icy breath...and all the relevant stuff that my arrows did 100ish damage last release.

I finally went full plate and back to polearm to raise my adv level to see if that helped...still no luck...Magic is either broken or a worthless way to go as a character. Slow effects from ice arrow are pathetic...Hopefully things are still being hashed. Mages should be able to do damage from a distance and get focus bonuses in cloth...So far cloth is not worth wearing.

 

I am seeing the same sad numbers. Also at the current training rate, I estimate it might take me months of game play to get a chain lightning to a level that might cause more than a blister. Currently Melee is king.

 

*sigh*
one would think that if you are, for example an arcane archer, meaning you have high exp levels of both magic arrow spells and archery - that when you throw out an ice arrow, you'll do a huge amount of damage to mobs without a ton of ice resistance...

but nope. single and low double digit counts across the board. highest magic hit i got was with fire arrow against a skelly for 17 damage. once. and it was a crit (yellow). my int and dex and str aren't that bad either.

 

I'm sad by this.

It's not just the 'arrow' spells, either. Fireball does 3-5 damage. Circle of fire does 1-4 damage per tick for 8 ticks or something. It's silly.

 

i'm glad the devs recognized this in the telethon yesteray. LB himself was kind of laughing about how silly it was.

 

Lets hope they are going to apply a new update/patch that fixes this. If not we are powerless in this release!!!!

 

I felt the same, and deleted my mage that used to do some pretty good damage, fireball doing under 20 damage at BEST and rarely, instead the damage was in the single digits. Creating a new avatar that uses mostly auto-attack blades seems to way overpower my mage, and this is a new low level character compared to my level 46 mage! Patch please!
