Can it be placed on the 2nd floor of a house or is it limited to the 1st floor? If it is limited to the 1st floor, has there been anything said about it changing in the future?

I wish it could be placed higher than the 1st floor. That would be nice for my tower that I use for RP :)

Disappointing, though it does seem that all dungeons were designed with "entering a coffin, going underground" rather than with portals in mind. :(

So no Roofs huh? Was wondering about that but hadnt tested.

You can place in your basement though, right?

Guildmate let me try theirs and the mirror was restricted to the 1st floor. Didn't try the basement, though I personally wouldn't put it in mine and doubt such a thing is an option. It's not a space issue for me, but an aesthetic choice.

You cannot place a dungeon entrance in your basement.

The reason being that there are implications to having an instance 'in' an instance... I can imagine there would be some bad edge cases.

yeah I would love to see at least the portal ones usable on any level it can fit. wanted the Mirror in my throne room. Or in future on a town obsidian tower roof.

The mirror would round out my second floor gallery well. I planned on putting it near the wall behind the podium so that it is clearly visible to anyone entering my theatre. I'm unsure what I'd actually do with the dungeon, but if deco is an option I wouldn't care about making it into a dungeon. If Tennants are able to place items inside the dungeon the same way they can a basement then it might even make a fantastic Inn depending on the layout of the rooms.

'Why not?' And 'When will this change?' are my questions.

Basements seem like an obvious location to place a dungeon entrance. And it would be another great reason for adventurers to go into them to explore!
