Major Framerate Problems

    I got about the same spec, win10 64 bits, 16gb ram, quad core intel 3.0, gtx745 and i have literraly no lag now. I had that little freeze each 15 second before and now it just disapeared. The game seem so much faster... Might be a problem with spyware or something? did you scan urself up? or too many program run in background?

    edit: My in game setting are also set at fastest for performance

    Had to go back and check but yes it's selected. Appears to be the default option.

    Unlike most posted here, am running windows 7 64bit. (*edit* I see Rada Torment is too)

    Probably won't help much since you folks have newer hardware, but turning off hyper-threading (HT) in the BIOS on my spare PC I play on sometimes, an older Xeon w3550 processor, stopped the skipping/hitching I was getting every few seconds - graphics quality settings had no impact. Next time I use it, I'll post a comparison video or something.

    While playing and seeing this behavior occurring, would any of you be able to open your debug consoles via the /debug chat command? This will create a bar on the top of the screen that can be used to track and observe messages logged. I'm curious if there may be some message spam occurring, whether as Warnings or Errors.

    Thank you all for the continued feedback to allow us to look into this further.

    An old Fujitsu SSD

    Game runs fine on this old machiene, except for NPC Citys.
    Most are manageable at 20 frames maybe.
    Xenos is unplayable.
    Estgard is annoying as hell :p

    Adventuring scenes are all fine.
    The 2 times i was with a group in the K'rul it was very laggy and only playable in FM, but not thst fun.
    I think i'll buy a new machiene within this year. But nothing up to Date, 1070 and a common i5 with 16 or 32 GB RAM and a good SSD

    @Attenwood , I opened it up, not sure where to find the log to send, but here is an example of what I'm seeing:

    1. I was in Serenity Isle, a mostly empty PoT. I had no warnings. The PoT Is basically east of Brittany. Not much lag.

    2. As soon as I hit the overworld map, I started getting warnings. Just moving from Serenity to Brittany - 30 warnings. Just standing in front of Brittany Fields, I got two more warnings.

    3. Loading into Central Brittany, I jumped to 108 warnings and 1 error. BTW - it takes a nasty long time to load into scenes. 1.5 - 2 min sometimes.

    4. Moving to Brittany Fields, warnings upped to 134.

    5. For the heck of it, I popped back over to Central Brittany. Yikes!!

    a) I used a stopwatch - it took 1 min 44.9 sec to load in.
    b) Warnings jumped up to 265!
    c) I went from 1 error to 2 errors.

    6. I did an exit to menu. It took 42.7 seconds to ext. Is this expected? No new warnings or errors.

    7. Did a *resume*:

    a) It took a full 2 minutes to get back in the game. Is this expected?
    b) Warnings jumped to 342!
    c) Errors went from two to three.

    8. Just standing in the game, I got 1 more warning and 1 more error. Total of 343 warnings/4 errors.

    ---> I suspect I'll see the same no matter where I go. Please note:

    1. I made sure my laptop is using the actual graphics card not the onboard graphics.
    2. This is happening even after I turned my video settings down to Good.
    3. Here are my specs:

    I have found significantly less hitching in R41 then R40. I started running into some on Sat or Sunday but my client had been up running hard for like 4 hours. Restarted and it fixed. Seems like you guys are cleaning up some of the memory leaks.

    Not an expert. Didn't read a thing. But I am using two AMD R9's in crossfire mode. I was having a lot of issues. I just turned off a lot of the "options" in the AMD Crimson UI and kept the crossfire mode. If there was an option to let the application do it, I selected that.

    Honestly, earlier today I had the best stretch of gaming without problems with frame rate anything graphics related.

    My point is just that if you are using a software suite outside of SotA, consider turning off a lot of the GPU specific options and let SotA handle everything else.

    Worth a shot.

    I may as well jump on the bandwagon. I'm experience the same stuttering, hitching, and overall single-digit frame rate on the overland map and in many, many more scenes than ever before. I used to only get such a noticeable frame rate drop in Brittany Alleys and Brittany Estates.

    There's nothing that will scream "unplayable" louder than having single-digit frame rates in your own home POT.

    Yes. I know I have an AMD but, again, I've never had this problem at anything close to this level.

    Same issue for me. It is much worse in parties but I get hitching on the world map and walking around alone in my POT. I have also experience several game client crashes after this release which I did not really experience before. I've been averaging 1 to 3 crashes a day.
