    Why?

Well, it would be good for new players to be able to eat a sugar cookie or a roll and have it be useful.

Unfortunately, a 2 minute buff is just not useful considering how long it takes to eat the food in the first place.

Mmmmmmmmm..... eating this sugar cookie...... still eating it..... stiiiiilll eating this sugar cookie.

    Fighting. Ooop buff is over.

Mmmmmmm..... eating this roll........ still eating it....... stiiiiiiilllll eating this roll.....

Fighting. Oooop buff is over before it was useful.

I agree. There are many foods that aren't worth the bother of eating much less crafting...

Great suggestion! They should also either remove the timer for the lesser foods or have you at least eat them much faster than the foods that last for hours.

There are many recipes that are expensive to make, and useless in game. Ive been carrying around 5 sugar cookies for about a year now, and havent ever had a reason to eat one.

Even if the timelength cant be increased, could they at least do a kind of "+ some stats, - some others" like artifacts? E.g., sugar cookie does +2 dex, -20 health, etc.

I think just adding more time would be best though.

Just give cooking recipes some value already! Also making them deco would be great too!

Yah I mentioned this in the past - things on the 2 minute timer should be consumable in ~2 seconds, perhaps instant (not for "immersion" or anything, just to justify their existence. It takes so damn long to eat a sugar cookie, and then its buff is over in under 2 minutes.

I think a sugar cookie should give a mild haste effect :D

Perhaps some of these oddball foods can give some more diverse effects? Faster movement speed, damage resistance, magic resistance.... it could be fun! :)

Most anything would be more fun than most of the current selection of foods vs what good they do.

Being able to vary food buffs by changing ingredients definitely would be nice.
I find sugar cookies are almost useful, if the buff and duration were a little bigger, eat speed a little faster and maybe a cool down timer.
A "Fortune Cookie" that adds only one point to ALL stats might be interesting to mature players.
How about share your food with your pet but you each only get half of the buff.

Eating a cookie shouldn't take any longer than you can eat a cookie. Right?

Well not exactly - I am not asking for an "immersive experience" with regards to food (though a complete overhaul in that direction might be cool). I am asking that there be increased value be added to the item, and in that example, the value coming in the form of an "extremely fast consumption rate / timeout" ratio.

I agree! And while you are at it. The same for the poisons. The time on these even with the skill leveled is pretty bad...

Yeah Poisons are silly, you go look at the thread with people doing 1400 point Coup De Grace and then the best poison in the game does like 50 hps over 10 seconds. lol .
