I have a Knight Founder account and would like to submit the following for inclusion if possible. I do have one request however if you can. Is there a way to outline the scales in black, to the same thickness, the way the sword is? I could not find it. The tool could outline it using fimbriated but it was too thick and looked odd.

Hello Markus! Welcome to the College of Arms!

I'll be happy to help get your blazon registered, but first I want to explain that the generator linked in the Start Here! post is out of date. It contains charges that have since been replaced or denied, including the sword. The black lines specifically are a problem. Our new straight swords look like this:

Either of these can be fimbriated of course, but fimbriation will be much thicker than the fine details on that sword. I can put up a mockup later if you like, or I can just mock it up with the fimbriation.

Because the Scale uses thin lines I think I'll stick with the first (thinner) of the two swords you suggested as a replacement. No fimbriated lines necessary, I really did not like the way they looked on the scales and the sword would likely be the same. If you could switch the two swords I would appreciate it as I am not that good of a graphic artist. Thank-you.

Looks good. Thanks. (Just curious.. The gules color seems lighter. Or is it just on my end?)

You're right. Sorry about that! Illustrator was stuck in CMYK mode, which doesn't mesh so great with RGB colors. The below version is what will be submitted for vote:

Are there any other steps that I need to do in order to have this added to the lists?

The Roll of Arms is here.

The link you provide is not the Roll of Arms. It's a list of files that include rejections.

Ok.. Fair enough. In that case, are there any other steps that I need to do in order to have this added to the Roll of Arms?

Nope. Your coat of arms is being voted on by the sovereigns. When that status changes, I'll let you know. The voting process was pushed back a bit by R6 since, well, R6. :p

Good news! The vote has passed. Your arms will be added to the Roll of Arms soon. Keep an eye out. :)

Is this a valid tool for building the CoAs?

Nice.. It looks like it has potential but I notice the saved results come out with a trim around it. Doesn't the image for final result need to be a clean edge like the one above in the thread? Here is an example of the shield I made using this site. (I would like to switch to this but the save image doesn't seem to provide the clean edge, or is that not necessary?)

Like I said, it's not ready yet. :) That is a known issue. We're working to get more usable shield shapes in. The in-game graphical shields are there so people can see a more stylized idea of what their emblazon will look like on a real in-game item, but there's still a lot of work to be done before you should really trust what's coming out of that generator. It's an awesome project that will be super duper useful soon, but not just yet. :)

The extra trim around the edges is a known issue that will be fixed. In the meantime a workaround is changing the other 2 colours on the charge colour selection to the background colour.
