Maximum Bank space

Is there a maximum item count for banks?

 

Yes, it's listed on the bottom left of the bank window.

Barugon is correct if you are talking about current bank space. Bottom left corner will tell you how many items you have in bank/and how many spaces you have total. But if you are talking about the Total number of spaces you can have in your bank I would assume it is limited by performance and how many digits the software can count up to. I have well over 1000 spaces in bank and so many chest and trunks that I will never run out of space. But if I do I can still buy more. There does not seem to be a cut off. As for the software most system software of a few years ago could only count to 16million and something I think that has been upgraded and not they can count into the petabyte or exabyte range. Sorry for the long winded comment.

 

Highest I've seen on someone yet was around 4k. don't know the official max though.

 

bank space is probably a 16 bit integer just like item inventory.

 

My meaning was the top end maximum that we can upgrade our bank space.

That Byte stuff is way over my head.

 

I think what others wanted to say is that currently you can have...I think at max 32767 items stacked together until you have to make a new stack. E.g. you cannot make a stack of 40000 Cotos in your inventory and instead you have to make 2 Coto stacks of e.g. 32000 and 8000. It is not unreasonable to assume that these boundaries are also used for other max item counts and this way 32767 might be the max number of items you can store in the bank....but I guess no one is willing to pay that much for bank upgrades to confirm it.

 

And here I was getting mad at my Corpse Wax stacks that wouldn't combine... that explains a lot!

 

I am at 8k currently - and it will let me keep going. I tend to not use storage in my houses as I can never find stuff - so houses are deco - and all storage is in the bank - easily sortable and searchable.

 

Ok that tells me a lot and now I am understanding what the others were trying to point out. I had a stack of RAW cotton that would only stack to 32767 in a stack but it was the bank item count I was interested in.

So the answer is... as a bank maximum ..... A whole freakin' lot.

Yep - a "stack" is still just one item out of the 8,000. So you can go seemingly as far as you want (at least to 8k+).
