Melting Down for Store Credit this week: 3 windows

If you have Add On Store items you wish to convert to credit, then you can do so on the Shroud of the Avatar website three times this week. Remember to do it before you login to the game server (Live or QA) since logging in will make all add on store items “claimed in game.” Please note that because we are wiping offers multiple times this week you will end up with multiple sets of rewards. Here are the days/times when we will wipe offer data to allow melt-down:

• Monday January 25 11:00 AM CST
• Wednesday January 27 7:00 PM CST
• Thursday January 28 9:00 AM CST

 

Does this make it too late for those of us who have already logged in to the QA to test?

 

This is just for items, and not a wipe of character data, right? The thursday wipe is then going to be opened to R26?

 

Good question. I assumed it meant that you couldn't login after 11:00 CDT today if you wanted to melt down items. I guess we'll find out in about 7 minutes.

Is there a fee now if you wish to send an item to someone else?

Nevermind - the answer to this is "no fee." I presume that might be just for pledge transfers.

 

They don't need to handle transfers "by hand" do they?

 

So, I missed this post until just now. Will you post again on Wednesday so we can get out of the game to meltdown?

 

Well, the items that were sent to me have not shown up yet under the "Gift" tab in my account for me to claim. If they are having to do these transfers by hand, I can see that being a huge issue. If it's automatic, then I would have thought they would have shown up already. Does anyone know how they handle these?

And I do appreciate the fact that they are allowing melt downs prior to Thursday. These items were going to be transferred to me last time, but they never were sent because of the server issues.

 

In this technological age that we live in, wouldn't it be just as easy to add the dates in the first post to a calendar on your computer, or your smartphone?

 

When you gift an item, you have to enter the email address attached to the recipient SotA account. The recipient receives an email with a link notifying them that they have received a gift and they have to click on the link in the email. They get directed to a webpage saying they have received a gift for account XYZ and if this is ok, click HERE. (The wording may be different).

Once they click on that link their account is updated.

 

They show up in your email. Then you follow the link. Then you claim the gifts in your account. They don't just show up under gifts without doing the prior I mentioned.

I should rephrase. Will we be able to play the game prior to meltdown on Wednesday similarly to what happened today and say, set our smartphone to go off at 6:55pm CST in order to be out for the meltdown? I've been looking forward to doing this for a little while so I want to make sure. If I need to not log in at all Wednesday until after 7pm I'll do that.

 

I logged out all of 15 minutes prior to todays timeline (and they were a few minutes slow).
