Metal Properties

    Has anyone crafted metal hilts and or blades to see what the properties are on like copper versus iron or meteoric versus white?

    Copper adds the "of Haste" name and adds +10% Attack Speed.
    Bronze adds the "of Greater Haste" name and adds +20% Attack Speed.
    Constantan adds the "of Quickness" name and adds +0 Dexterity (bug?).
    Meteoric adds the "of Greater Crushing" name and adds +.2 Melee Damage Bonus.
    White Iron adds the "of Thumping" name and adds +10% Knockdown Bonus.

    They do not seem to stack (if blade and hilt are the same metal) so mix and match those that you want.

    white iron on armour is +2 str, and damage absorption (heals you)

    I have only found one piece of silver ore - so I think it will be a while before we see that.

    yes also "Constantan adds the "of Quickness" name and adds +0 Dexterity" is correct but it does actually add .2 dex but yes i do think it is a bug and it will be +2 dex when they move a decimal over. on a side not has anyone tired to make a copper and bronze weapon. it could be a +30% att speed and prob the best dps if it can stack.

    Confirmed, I just made a 2 Handed Sword of greater haste with 20% from bronze hilt and 10% from copper blade. 30% att speed increase is very noticeable and might consider duel wielding for 60% att speed. [​IMG] http://imgur.com/FQHXqlk

    Are you sure? my whtie iron aarmor doesnt heal me. Did you accidently have death shield up or soemthing?

    It would make sense of silver is good against the undead. I hope gold is like UO, associated with luck. It could help critical strike.

    i was melee with no magic, it has damage absorption. Yes i am sure.

    Thanks for this everyone. I haven't started to play with blacksmithing yet, so I'm happy someone else is crunching the numbers. Has any done armor stats or just the weapon? (or is it same bonus for both weapons and armor)

    Do you have to have the chest piece or soemthing?

    And what kind of straps were used?

    Just the leggings and boots by themselves are not doing that.
    And none of the other people ive made white iron armor for have told me they are convertign damage to health. But i havent made any chest-plates yet.

    If your seeign your health go up 1 point at a time, thats probably jsut your health regeneration.

    Has anyone gotten stats for white iron weapons? I suspect they have higher damage capability, but much lower durability than regular iron.
