    Where is a good place to mine silver ore? I've only found it for sale and 1-2 nodes in the Forest Siege; otherwise, zilch. Thanks!!

    Elyssium Mines is the main source of silver.

    You can also find it in one of the wandering monster encounters. The plains one, I believe.

    There is also silver in Blackblade Foothills(inside the mine). There is a lot of silver in vertas pass as well but that's 5 skull.

    Best kept secret: Forest Road Encounter

    It has maybe 4 nodes of silver. If you can drag an overworld encounter into an area that starts that encounter, you can get a bit of silver. If you drag in a skeleton, the nodes aren't even near the little ruins where the skeletons are.

    The other encounters tend to have gold nodes. Plains Road Encounter has at least 4 nodes of gold, and is the easiest one to trigger.

    All of the silver/gold nodes are 100% spawn when the encounter scene is generated. The other nodes (copper, iron, cotton, etc.) have a random chance. EDIT: since then, the encounters have been updated to have more nodes, but at least four still spawn

    And if you get stuck in a Forest Siege, be sure to pick up the one on the way to town just below the mercenary camp. EDIT: there are three nodes that I know of, but one is hard to discover and none will respawn

    Silver nodes will spawn generally in most tier4 or higher areas... ;)

    If your new the best place is Blackblade Foothills. You can drop loot/sell/bank there in Cottage Grove. When you enter the Blackblade Foothills instance, run down the hill and the mine entrance is right there on the left. You cannot miss it. You can farm the nodes all the way to the end, then come back thru and the nodes will have respawned. It's a great place for starting avatars to mine copper and silver. The mobs inside are easy to kill. Just pull 1, 2 or 3 at a time and you should be ok.

    If I'm not mistaken, I saw quite a bit of silver last time I went through Highvale.

    Serpent Spine's Mine also have some silver ores along with iron ores and a bunch of crystals.

    I'm taking my son from Solace Bridge Outskirts to Highvale just so he can mine silver and get experience killing enemies. I need to be gathering in higher tier scenes so I can get producer xp to use those silver in mastercrafting.

    God, I really wish they would change Carpentry Mastercraft to use sooty bark instead of silver...

    I tried an experiment and took a couple of laps around Highvale and Blackblade Foothills each, and this is what I turned up for resources.

    Note- some resources are listed in both of the tabs displayed. I also currently have 40 points in Meticulous Collection (+8%) for Field Dressing and Mining.

    I'd be curious to know what it is all worth. The equipment sold for about 2000 at the combat merchant.
